What we wear during the day can have a massive impact on our mental health. But what about our actual health? Can what we wear impact that too? Of course it can but you probably know about the types of things that can impact your health in a negative way. With this in mind, we have researched and have a list of things that you can accessorise with that will boost your health and wellbeing as you rock the latest looks.

Diffuser Necklaces

Diffuser necklaces are an amazing way to carry essential oils on you all day. And why would you want to do that? Simple. Many people have discovered the benefits to using essential oils to help improve their health and welling. And there are a variety of reasons why you might want to use essential oils. Peppermint, eucalyptus, or tea-tree oil are all excellent choices if you have a stuffy nose. Lavender, bergamot, or ylang ylang are great to help with anxiety. Depending on the style of the necklace, you can drop a little (or a lot) of oil into it and can have your chosen scent follow you all day long. You are also not stuck using the same scent, you can mix and match as you see fit.

Filter Glasses

Wearing glasses can have a massive impact on your health for many reasons. For one, if you have bad eyesight you will need them to see clearly. However, there are many benefits to wearing different types of glasses. First of all, you should make regular appointments with an optician to ensure that your eyes stay healthy. If you need to wear glasses, you can choose high quality or designer frames to match your style. And if you don’t need to wear glasses, you should consider wearing blue filter glasses if you are working in front of screens, or proper sunglasses with a UV filter to prevent eye damage and prevent cataracts as you grow older.

Earrings

This is one of the stranger items on our list but hear us out. Earrings can be used as a form of acupuncture. You may have heard of the daith piercings as a natural way to help with migraines. If you know anyone who has had this, ask them if it has helped, and there is a surprising amount of people who swear by it. Depending on the place that you get pierced, it could help with any variety of health problems including sleep issues, weight loss, and anxiety. If you don’t want to get lots of holes pierced, you can always opt for magnetic earrings and use them on the pressure points of your ears instead.

Wide Brimmed Hats

One accessory which has grown in popularity is the wide brimmed hat. These hats are a great way to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Obviously, you will still need to use a high quality sunscreen, the wide brimmed hat can provide extra protection and it can protect your hair too. The best thing about these hats is the variety of styles which are available, you don’t have to limit yourself. Also, certain styles are great for the winter as they will protect your skin and keep the heat in. for the best results, you want the brim of your hat to be at least 3 inches, it’s up to you how big you go!

Silver Jewellery

A lot of the metals we use in our day to day lives are very toxic to us, and silver is one of the few exceptions. There have been no links to cancer, neurological conditions, or any chronic conditions. Silver is regularly used as a way to fight and treat microbiological infections. As well as the proven scientific ways that silver is good for you, there are the spiritual ways too. It is believed that placing a piece of silver on your forehead can activate your crown chakra and open your third eye. Wearing silver rings on your pinky fingers can help with anger issues and help you find a sense of calm.

The Dye for Your Clothes

Is this really a fashion accessory? We say yes because clothes dye has a direct effect on an outfit. As it turns out, the dye that is used in your clothes might have a direct effect on your health. Many of the dyes used in fast fashion can be made from toxic chemicals. These chemicals can soak out of the clothes and into our skin. Using methods such as Ayurveda dying techniques, your clothes are dyed with natural pigments that are not just better for you, they are good for you if your skin absorbs them.

Bangles and bracelets

If wearing silver jewelry is good for you, then wearing silver bangles must be very good. Wearing bangles on your wrists is a great way to help with blood circulation. It is believed that wearing bangles in particular is an excellent way to keep energy in your body and stop you from being tired. The idea is that any energy that is escaping from your body is trapped in the bangle and is reflected back into your body. Wearing glass bangles is also believed to help balance emotions better than other types of material.

Flip-flops

Having your toes out to the world can be very relaxing, however flip-flops are not the best when it comes to foot support. So why put them on the list? Because all flip-flops are not made the same. While it is true that wearing a regular pair can damage your feet, investing in a pair with arch support can be one of the best things you do for your feet. This way you can enjoy getting your toes out and not worry about any damage to your feet and legs.

Facemasks

There is a lot of talk about whether facemasks do anything, but the figures back up the idea that wearing a mask is good for your health. Wearing a mask does not have to be a political statement, it can be a fashion statement. And, the simple fact is, many countries around the world wear disposable and reusable face masks during cold and flu season to help stop the spread of viruses. But even if you don’t think they do anything in disease control, there is one undeniable benefit, we haven’t had to endure anyone’s bad breath in months!

Perfumes

Wearing a signature scent is a must for everyone, but do you know the benefits of wearing a high quality scent? Choosing a cheap perfume can have huge health consequences including lung problems and allergic reactions. High quality scents that cost a little (or a lot) more are a lot better for you. Especially if they use natural ingredients and essential oils. Not only can these fragrances enhance your mood and give you more confidence, this will have a knock on effect on the rest of your health.

Stockings

Wearing compression stockings can have massive health benefits for many people, especially people who stand a lot during the day, people who sit a lot during the day, frequently fly, or are over 65 years young. In some cases, they should be avoided but your doctor will normally advise you if any of your health conditions would be made worse by wearing them. Otherwise, wearing compression stockings can help your heart circulate the blood around your body. Don’t worry about them looking boring, there are plenty of places which stock sleek or funky designs, so nobody will know unless you tell them.
