If you want to get in shape and start a new exercise routine, where should you start? The good news is, there are more resources than ever to help you. There are countless Youtube channels and social media pages filled with free workouts you can try, whether you are exercising at home or hitting the gym. If you want some more in-depth advice, you could get a personal trainer and have them help you with your fitness routine. This is a great option if you don’t really know what kinds of exercise are best for your specific fitness goals. You can join a gym that has top-notch commercial equipment for workout routines. These types of equipment help you to increase calorie burn and promote a healthy lifestyle by building muscles, monitoring your heart rate, and maintaining body weight.

In recent years, a lot of people have been using celebrity fitness routines as well.

Celebrities are often required to be in great shape, especially actors that are playing roles in action movies, for example. It’s incredible how quickly these celebrities can get in shape and stay looking great, so surely their routines are the best place to start. Just copy what they did and you can get in perfect shape in 6 months, right? Unfortunately, it’s not that simple. Sometimes, celebrity routines can be great and if you follow them, you will get great results. However, you need to be careful when starting any extreme celebrity routine and recognize that they might not be as simple as you think. These are some of the key things to keep in mind when following celebrity fitness routines.

They Might Not Align With Your Fitness Goals

When actors are training for a movie, they do these crazy fitness routines that get them completely ripped and help them build muscle in a few months. That’s great, but is that really what you’re trying to achieve? If you want to meet your fitness goals, you need to make sure that you pick a routine that aligns with those goals, and celebrity routines don’t always do that. If you are hoping to burn fat and improve your heart health, you’d be better off running on a regular basis instead of starting an intense muscle-building routine that your favorite celebrity follows.

This doesn’t necessarily mean celebrity routines won’t help you meet your goals, but it’s important that you think about whether their workouts are really going to help you achieve what you want to.

They Can Be Unrealistic For Normal People

Celebrities will always talk about how quickly they get results, but when you look at what the routine actually entails, you might find that it’s totally unrealistic for normal people. If they are getting up at 4am and working out for two hours before breakfast, then doing a lunchtime workout and another session in the evening, that’s a lot to fit into your day. Normal people with a full-time job simply can’t do that. Even if they are not that intense, committing to a workout routine that requires you to put hours into it every day is tough. Often, people start these routines and then only last a few days before realizing that they can’t keep it up. This can lead to some big motivation issues because you feel like you’ve failed your workout routine. So, be realistic about whether you can actually do this routine and if you can’t, consider a modified version using the same exercises. You’ll still benefit from the workouts but you won’t get the results as quickly.

Most Celebrities Are Not Fitness Experts

You have to remember that most celebrities are not fitness experts and this is important for two reasons; firstly, they might be giving you terrible advice that won’t help you get in shape in a safe and healthy way. Secondly, most celebrities have a personal trainer that is writing the workouts and taking them through them. If you take the advice of celebrities that don’t really know what they’re talking about, they could be recommending intense workouts that increase your risk of injury because they don’t give enough rest time. In some cases, they might be advising programs that only work one area of the body, so you don’t actually improve your overall health. If they are working with a personal trainer every day, you won’t get the same benefits unless you can afford to do the same.

The good news is, there are plenty of celebrities that are fitness experts, and these are the people you should be taking advice from. Look for athletes, dancers or even martial arts masters like Bruce Lee. Following advice from the Chinese American martial artist is much better than following advice from an actor that just does whatever their personal trainer sets out for them. However, keep in mind that celebrity athletes exercise for a living, so a lot of their routines will be too intensive for average people with other responsibilities.

It’s Not Just About The Workouts

Usually, when a celebrity goes through a complete body transformation in a matter of months, they’re doing more than simply exercising a lot. Diet is incredibly important and if you look into it, they might be on some kind of crazy juice cleanse or fasting routine, which can really take a toll on your body. Even if they are still eating a semi-normal diet, it’s likely that they’ve cut out every single unhealthy item for months on end. They might also be taking diet supplements that increase fat burning or having other treatments, like cryotherapy to speed up their recovery times so they can sustain the workout program.

The reason that these celebrity workout programs give such fast results is that they dedicate their entire life to them and they are incredibly strict with themselves. It’s not usually sustainable for people to stick to such a limiting diet so it’s hard to get the results that you are promised.

In some cases, celebrity workout programs can be effective. However, most of them are unsustainable if you follow them to the letter. Often, it’s best to see what kind of exercises they are doing and then incorporate them into your own routines. Most importantly, don’t injure yourself because you are trying to follow a crazy workout routine.
