Meet the Queens of Pop: A Fun Concert with Victoria Renée at The Art Room!

Hello Friends,

I’m Anissa Sutton, your friendly French editor in chief of Pump It Up Magazine and the president of The Sound of LA, where my husband, the legendary Motown hit-maker Michael B. Sutton, and I have the immense pleasure of working with extraordinary talents. One of those talents is none other than the stunning and incredibly gifted Victoria Renée.

When Michael and I first encountered Victoria, we were struck by her undeniable beauty, but it was her voice that truly captivated us. It was one of those moments where you just know—you hear something so special, so powerful, that you think to yourself, “The world needs to hear this!”

Victoria’s voice reminded me of a mix between Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey—soulful, powerful, and utterly mesmerizing.

Working on her artist development has been such a rewarding journey. We’ve ensured that Victoria is not just seen but truly heard and portrayed in the right way, giving her incredible talent the spotlight it so richly deserves.

See for yourself—visit her new website at www.victoriareneehand.com and subscribe to her newsletter. You don’t want to miss the boat!

We’re also got her hit single with Funk Therapy,Square Biz,” played on major radio stations and is now charting at #67 on MediaBase chart and number 11 UK RnB/Soul Chart –it is a cover of the iconic Teena Marie song. Just like Teena, who was known for singing with the soul of a black woman, Victoria has that same kind of power and depth in her voice.

As someone who is passionate about empowering women, both through Pump It Up Magazine and my work with Women of True Grit alongside Edie Hand (who happens to be Victoria’s mother-in-law!), I knew we had to do something special. I thought, “Victoria has the voice to pay tribute to the greatest vocalists of our time—she’s a queen in her own right!” And that’s how the idea for “Queens of Pop” was born.
