Dear Readers,
Let us start with a moment of silence in respect to all who lost their lives on that tragic helicopter crash with included NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his 13 year old daughter Gina Bryant.
Let’s also pause and reflect on the many contributions African Americans have given to this country and to the world in music, film, fashion, and the arts.
At the end of the day we must cherish what is valuable in our lives. Love in my opinion must be the center and circumference of our motives in all we do and accomplish.
On The Cover of our February issue is Estelle California. Estelle is an artist, musician, singer from France who has moved to the US and has dedicated her life and music to the of Africa, African American History and culture.
Also we have a beautiful expose from Alan Laird, Artist, poet, husband, father and Oakland California historian. You will be amazed at his unique way of letting us see the African American experience via his art and other visual artifacts.
Open the pages and delight yourself in African American History Month from Pump it Up Magazine. And don’t forget to tune in to Pump it Up Magazine Radio.
Be well, safe and be kind to someone.
Best wishes ,
Anissa
