Capitol Royale is a creativity and innovation festival held at the historic Capitol Records Tower in the heart of Hollywood.
This year’s theme is Music on the Move, and features a hackathon, an ideas conference, a startup exhibition, vinyl wax fair and merch pop-ups, festival stages, beer garden, partner expos, and VIP happy hour.
Capitol Music Group will host its second annual Capitol Royale this weekend, November 15-17. Open to all, the music industry gathering will be held at the legendary Capitol Studios and other select Hollywood locations.
This year, Capitol Royale will celebrate “Music on the Move.” Bringing together leading creatives, coders, designers, startups and music fans, the festival will delve into the innovations being made across multiple music touchpoints – including immersive content and music & transportation.
One Saturday at 1:45 PM, Hypebot’s Bruce Houghton is hosting panelists from AEG, Paradigm, Bandsintown and more for Data-Driven Touring – How To Use Data From Streaming, Social Media, Bansdsintown and More to Book and Market Better Shows.
At 3 PM Bandsintown co-founder and managing partner Fabrice Sergent is hosting Head vs. Heart: How Data Is Transforming A&R with guests from Capitol, SNAFU Records, Chartnetric and Caroline.
MUSIC HACKATHON
For the first time ever, Bandsintown is also opening up its API as part of the Capitol Royale Music Hackathon.
Among other offerings, programmers can take The Bandsintown Challenge to play with Bandsintown’s massive concert, venue and artist geotargeted database.
With more than 50 million registered users, 510,000 registered artists and partnerships with 140 ticketing companies worldwide, the Bandsintown API makes the world’s largest database of tour date, venue and ticket info available to developers of web and mobile applications.
