INTERVIEW:
What inspired you to start your own event planning business, and how did you get started?
I have a Master’s degree in International Marketing, and I have experience working as a manager in a hotel that hosted events. During my time there, I found myself enjoying event planning and coordination, and eventually became the go-to person for all events at the hotel.
When I moved to a different country, I decided to pursue my passion for event planning and make it my main profession.
Can you walk us through your process for collaborating with clients to design and execute the perfect event, and how do you ensure that their vision is brought to life while still incorporating your own expertise and creativity?
Can you share with us a particular event that you planned that you are especially proud of and why?
How has being a woman entrepreneur influenced your business journey, and what challenges have you faced as a result?
I have always possessed a strong inclination towards the world of business and a burning desire to achieve success. This mindset has been greatly influenced by the women in my family who have been inspiring figures in my life. They have taught me valuable lessons about entrepreneurship and have shown me that with hard work, dedication, and a focused mindset, one can achieve anything they set their mind to.
Furthermore, I am well aware of my competence and strengths, and I have a deep love for being productive. I find satisfaction in accomplishing tasks and seeing results from my efforts. This drive to be productive fuels my passion for business and motivates me to strive for excellence in all that I do.
What advice would you give to other women entrepreneurs who are just starting out in the event planning industry?
Starting an event business can be a thrilling and rewarding endeavor, but it also requires a great deal of creativity and adaptability. As an event planner, you’ll be responsible for crafting unique and engaging experiences for your clients, and that means constantly coming up with new ideas and approaches.
At the same time, however, you must be prepared for any number of unexpected challenges that may arise during the planning and execution of an event. This could include everything from last-minute cancellations to unexpected weather conditions or technical difficulties.
To succeed in this industry, you need to have a passion for the work and a willingness to roll with the punches. This means being able to pivot quickly when things don’t go according to plan and to remain calm and collected in the face of adversity.
Ultimately, a career in event planning can be incredibly fulfilling, but it requires a unique combination of creativity, flexibility, and resilience. If you’re up for the challenge, it can be an incredibly rewarding way to make a living.
