HYUNDAI MERCURY PRIZE

The annual Hyundai Mercury Prize award ceremony will reveal the Album of the Year in London on September 14th.

The awards exist to honour the best new British music, celebrating artistic achievement across an eclectic range of contemporary music genres.

A shortlist of twelve albums will be revealed at the Albums of the Year launch event on July 27th.

The awards show later in the year will feature live performances from many of the twelve shortlisted artists and the evening will culminate in the announcement of the overall winner.

BBC Music will be providing live television and radio coverage of the event on BBC Four and BBC Radio 6 Music.

BBC Two will also broadcast a preview documentary on the 2017 prize in September.

Apple Music will be promoting it across all its platforms, from the shortlist announcement to the awards show.
