When did you start performing?
A Musical Journey Shaped by Passion and Exploration From a young age, I embarked on a musical journey fueled by a deep passion for the arts. Growing up in the beautiful city of Saint-Étienne, France, I discovered the wonders of music through modern jazz and contemporary dance. This exploration led me to find my voice and express myself artistically. My dedication and hard work allowed me to make my mark on the dance music scenes in Europe and Asia, captivating audiences under the stage names Anya Rose and Lady Aneessa.
What performers have been your inspiration?
Diverse Inspirations: Motown, R&B Soul, and Madonna My inspirations come from a wide range of genres and artists, including Motown music from the ’60s and ’70s, R&B soul music from the ’80s and ’90s, and the iconic Madonna. I especially admire Madonna’s ballads (the lyrics and the melodies are out of this world! 😉 and smooth songs, which have left a lasting impression on my musical style.
What do you base your success on?
A Journey of Resilience and Artistic Growth For me, success goes beyond mere accomplishments. It is rooted in my unwavering determination to break free from limitations and explore new horizons. While my lyrics may convey a sense of pain and longing to not return to my hometown of Saint-Étienne, it is crucial to acknowledge the profound role my hometown played in shaping my identity and providing the roots for my artistic journey.
What was your latest musical release?
“Merci”: Gratitude for Personal Growth and Overcoming Obstacles My latest release, “Merci,” is a heartfelt song inspired by the challenges and personal growth I experienced in my hometown, Saint-Étienne. The lyrics reflect the difficult decisions I had to make to move forward, expressing gratitude for the obstacles I faced as they empowered me to go further and reach new heights.
