Actor, writer, and producer Kal Penn explores the conversation at the intersection of climate, clean energy, and business with a recently launched docuseries, Getting Warmer with Kal Penn. Well-known for his comedic movie and TV characters, Kal joined the Obama administration in 2009 as an Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement, working on issues related to young Americans – including climate change. In NRF 2023’s closing keynote presentation, Kal will explore these critical topics and connect the audience to a better understanding of the ways policymakers, consumers and businesses can tackle these issues together. The former Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement, Kal will then sit for a fireside chat to connect entertainment with climate solutions, impactful policy, and a unique understanding of the global economy.
