Description
Welcome to another exciting edition of Pump It Up Magazine! We’ve packed this issue with everything to inspire, motivate, and entertain you. Whether you’re here for the latest in music, wellness tips, or lifestyle advice, there’s something for everyone.
First off, a huge congratulations to our very own Grandmixer GMS, the talented DJ at KPIU Radio, for winning the 2024 West Coast Radio Mixer of the Year at the West Coast Hip-Hop Awards! And big shout-out to his colleague DJ Glenn Aure, who took home the 2024 West Coast DJ of the Year award. Big love to both of them!
We were also deeply moved by a heartfelt letter we received from Zachery, an inmate in Washington State, who shared how Pump It Up Magazine and GMS’s success have brought positivity to his life and fellow inmates. In his words, “Every inmate now has access to Pump It Up, and we all enjoy it. Thank you for uplifting our spirits!” This reminds us of the powerful impact music and community can have, even in the toughest times.
Now, let’s talk about Ambassadors of Morning, led by the talented Samir Moussa, who’s gracing our cover this month. This group is more than just a band—it’s a movement, blending musical influences in a way that’s simply captivating. We’re diving deep into their latest release, a stunning cover of “Shallow” featuring Victoria Renée, out now under The Sound of LA.
It’s an absolute must-hear! And don’t forget to tune in to KPIU Radio, where it’s playing daily at 6 p.m. (PST).
