The original motion picture soundtrack for Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ has been announced
The score was created by Swedish-born composer Ludwig Göransson, who has a long working relationship with Childish Gambino, as his producer.
‘Black Panther”s soundtrack was recorded in London with 132-piece western classical orchestra, African percussionists and a 40-person choir.
This isn’t the first time Göransson has worked with ‘Black Panther’ director Ryan Coogler, having previously collaborated on ‘Creed’ and ‘Fruitvale Station’.
Göransson told Pitchfork how he found the sound for the film: “It’s such a massive movie. After I read the script and I started reading the comic, I knew the only way I could do this was to go to Africa and do research. I took a month off and traveled to Senegal.”
The soundtrack is released February 16.
